To apply for water, sewer and garbage services, applicants should come to City Hall with a picture ID and their social security number, or an employer tax identification number.
The deposit is $125 for a resident inside the city limits. Applicants outside the city limits are required to pay a deposit of $250. Deposits for small commercial customers inside the city limits is $150. Small businesses located outside the city limits are required to pay a deposit of $250. The deposit for large commercial customers, both inside and outside the city limits will be equal to two times the average monthly fee for water, sewer and garbage services.
Residents applying for water, sewer and garbage services can apply for an electrical permit at the same time. The electrical permit is required before Entergy will connect electric service. The fee for an electrical permit is $10, unless it is new construction, which requires a $30 permit fee. To apply for electric service, customers can call 1-800-ENTERGY.
New businesses can apply for an occupational license at the same time they apply for an electrical permit and city services. The fee for a new business for the first year is $50. If the businesses plans to sell food, an approval letter must be received from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals before the Town can issue an occupational license.
